CM: Not only Juventus want Calhanoglu – details of the huge offer imminent from Qatar

By Oliver Fisher -

Sunday could very well be Hakan Calhanoglu’s last game for AC Milan since he has not yet signed a renewal and has a huge offer from abroad, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com writes, Calhanoglu has not yet accepted the offer from Milan of €4m net per season and instead he has received expressions of interest from many clubs. Juventus have been talking with his agent for some time and there is a desire on the Bianconeri’s part to exceed the Rossoneri’s offer.

However, in the last few hours Al-Duhail – a team from Doha where the former Roma and Juve defender Mehdi Benatia plays – have come forward. Talks between the Qatari club and Gordon Stipic are progressing quickly with a meeting set for next week with the clear objective of verifying the real size of the offer.

For his part, Calhanoglu is not so convinced of leaving Europe for Qatar at just 27 because it would be a sizeable backwards step in his career. The emissaries of Al-Duhail are aware that they will have to reach €8m net per season to try to get the green light from the former Bayer Leverkusen man.
