AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta has been happy to learn of interest from Portuguese side Benfica, a report claims.
The 22-year-old seemingly has an uncertain future with the Rossoneri as he has fallen down the pecking order at the club, and in the past few days there have been reports of interest from Benfica.
According to Calciomercato.com, there are “tests of understanding” between the player and the Lisbon club. The Brazilian is happy with the interest, sources close to the player confirm, but first he would like to understand what Milan’s intentions are.
Benfica’s sporting director Manuel Rui Costa is a huge fan of Paquetà and he tried to sign him in 2018 but in the end the player chose Milan.
Now he is ready to return to office, but an economic compromise must be found as the €35million demands are considered excessive. Benfica could drop put Florentino Luis into the deal, a midfielder that Milan likes a lot.
