AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will have to do without Ruben Loftus-Cheek until the international break but the midfielder has escaped a serious injury.
According to Calciomercato.com, Loftus-Cheek has sustained a low-grade groin issue. He came 29th minute of the match against Lazio due to a problem in the pubic/adductor area and today he had a scan to establish the extent of the injury.

The MRI showed nothing serious thankfully and no further tests are scheduled – unlikely Rade Krunic for example who has to have another check in a few days – so instead the evolution of Loftus-Cheek’s condition will be monitored daily.
Despite the day-to-day status, Loftus-Cheek will not be available for the matches against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League (Wednesday 4 October, 9pm) and almost certainly also against Genoa in the league (Saturday 7 October, 8.45pm).
What this does mean though is that he will have the international break to work at Milanello and get back to his best, just in time for the huge games against Juventus, PSG and Napoli.
