CM: Pioli seriously considering fielding Brahim Diaz and Hauge from minute one vs. Celtic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli could unleash a couple of his young offensive weapons for Thursday night’s clash with Celtic, a report claims.

Pioli will not be able to call upon Hakan Calhanoglu or Ante Rebic for the Europa League opener in Scotland as both will be out for about the next week.

According to Calciomercato.com, Pioli will now be forced to shuffle the cards again in order to try and find a solution, and it is likely that the playmaker role will be entrusted to Brahim Diaz.

It will be an important chance for the Real Madrid loanee to show what he is capable of and continue his good recent form, which included a brace for Spain’s U21 side over the international break.

In the left win though, the big news is that Pioli is considering giving a first start to Jens Petter Hauge, a player who impressed at San Siro in the second preliminary round of the Europa League.

Pioli crosses his fingers and hopes that Calhanoglu’s absence will be short, but in the meantime he is studying the solutions to make sure enough goals are scored to get his side off to the best possible start.
