CM: Pioli’s contract will also expire next year – Milan’s stance on his future

Franck Kessie isn’t the only one that is sitting on an expiring contract. Stefano Pioli, who has helped turn this team around, will also expire next summer and his contract will have to be taken care of.

The former Lazio boss didn’t have many fans on his side when he first joined the club, and the initial months were tough. However, it’s safe to say that his presence at the club has been incredibly important for the recent rise.

According to Calciomercato.com, the relations between Pioli and the Milan management are excellent. In fact, clear signals have arrived from both parties: they want to continue the partnership together beyond the contract.

Of course, in today’s football, a manager can never feel too secure and in June, evaluations will be made. Pioli currently earns €2.3m per year (plus €500K UCL bonus) and he’s confidently awaiting a call from Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
