AC Milan are preparing to welcome back a number of players who are currently out on loan, a report claims, though for most it could be a temporary return.
Calciomercato.com have commented on the future of each, starting with Mattia Caldara and Tommaso Pobega. The central defender will come back from Bergamo after an 18-month loan in which he was unable to return to play continuously, meaning Atalanta decided not to use their €16m option to buy. Stefano Pioli will evaluate him in preseason to determine if he can be useful as a reserve.
Pobega had a great season with Spezia and with the U21 mational team, and from an economic point of view he could yield a good capital gain of about €12m. He does not currently have a place in Pioli’s system as he is not a No.10 nor a defensive midfielder.
Andrea Conti and Diego Laxalt will be sold when they return from Parma and Celtic, while Lorenzo Colombo will also come back and go out on loan again. Regarding Leo Duarte, his loan will expire in January and Istanbul Basaksehir could sign him outright for €5-6m.
Then there are the Primavera talents who spent the season on loan between Serie B, C and abroad: goalkeeper Plizzari (Reggina), defender Bellodi (Alessandria), midfielders Brescianini (Entella), Murati (Vibonese) and Sala (Pro Sesto) plus forwards Tsadjout (Cittadella) and Capanni (Racing Santander). For them it is unlikely that they will stay.
