Agent Jorge Mendes is still searching for buyers for Andre Silva but a return to the fold at Milan cannot be ruled out, a report claims.
The Portugal international is seemingly considered surplus to requirements at Milan as a number of different media outlets have claimed the club are trying to sell him.
A deal to send him to Monaco seemed to be on the cards but through due to financial disagreements, as revealed by their vice-president.
Reports earlier in the week from il Corriere della Sera revealed that Portuguese side Sporting CP are keen on signing Silva.
It was also recently stated by Mediaset that Jorge Mendes is in fact growing frustrated with Silva as he continues to demand a move to a top club.
Now, Calciomercato.com‘s Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the situation surrounding the former Porto man.
He states that Sporting have indeed shown an interest in the idea of signing Silva but have not made any official offers as of yet, but that they must move quickly as Milan are in no mood to waste time.
The Rossoneri are waiting on Mendes to find the right option for his client, but with the mercato entering the final week pressure is growing to reach a solution.
Romano also adds that Giampaolo has shown a willingness to use the player should he remain, but the priority remains to sell him.
