CM: PSG’s pursuit of €100m-rated man could help Milan land striker

AC Milan kick off their 2023-24 season tonight with a trip to face Bologna, but the rumours surrounding a potential striker signing will not go away.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Randal Kolo Muani’s winning goal for Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday against Darmstadt seems to have been a farewell gift, because he is ‘betrothed to Paris Saint-Germain’.

After the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar, the PSG management want to give some support to Kylian Mbappé with a renewed attack, and they are not done after the signings of Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica and Ousmane Dembelé from Barcelona for a total of €180m.

The Parisians have had an initial offer of €60m plus bonuses for Kolo Muani rejected but they have an agreement with the player which they hope will bring down the €100m asking price. Another push is expected, and it could be the decisive one.

The signing of Kolo Muani could be good news for Milan too, who still have Hugo Ekitike on their list of targets. To date, PSG have not opened up to the idea of a loan which is what the Rossoneri – and also Roma – would need.

Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt remain in the background for Ekitike, and they would have greater economic availability to close a permanent deal.
