CM: Rabiot’s future remains a mystery – the contract Milan are willing to offer

By Oliver Fisher -

Adrien Rabiot is still without a club after leaving Juventus and AC Milan remain in the running to land him, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com write how Rabiot bid farewell to Juve on social media in a post yesterday. He decided not to extend his contract with the Bianconeri despite having an offer on the table, and he will depart after five years.

The Frenchman posted a short message on Instagram, accompanied by a video that retraces the stages of his adventure in Turin: “After 5 seasons at Juventus, 5 years in Turin, I want to say goodbye and thank you. All of you who have been there for me. The club and all the staff. And you fans, always close and very affectionate! Thank you for everything Juventus. Goodbye and good luck.”

Where will Rabiot play starting from the 2024-25 season? His future is still a puzzle to be solved because he is waiting for a call from the Premier League – a market explored by his mother-agent Veronique – but no top level clubs linked (Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United) have made a move.

The same goes for Real Madrid, another team that have been mentioned as in the running. Milan, while giving priority to other operations like Youssouf Fofana, Lazar Samardzic and Manu Koné, are still in the race.

The report states that they would be willing to offer a four or five-year contract with a lower salary than the €7m net plus €1m in bonuses proposed by Juventus, instead putting forward a longer deal at around €5.5m per year. Napoli are also keen, but won’t play in the Champions League.

  1. Always like him from PSG days. But at those high salary demands I’m not sure. I wonder if he thought there’d be more demand for him.

  2. Well, I mean if you’re staring at the fact that no club is coming forth to offer you 9mil a season AND CL football, all of a sudden 5mil a year and CL doesn’t sound too bad…
