CM: Rangnick could bring RB Leipzig defender to Milan as Hernandez deputy

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the summer, AC Milan are working hard to identify the right profiles on the transfer market. In an interview with MilanNews.it, the agent Gaetano Di Caro linked them with both Marcel Sabitzer and Marcel Halstenberg.

As Calciomercato.com reports, there are no confirmations on Sabitzer, who’s a very important player for RB Leipzig. Halstenberg, on the other hand, is a player that could follow Rangnick to Italy for the exciting adventure.

At Milan, he could become the deputy for Theo Hernandez, alternating with the Frenchman on the left flank. In that area of the pitch, the Rossoneri certainly need at least one reinforcement ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Both Ricardo Rodriguez and Diego Laxalt are destined to leave the club this summer, excluded from the project at Milan. The former could be signed by PSV on a permanent basis, while the latter has attracted interest from a few Russian clubs.
