CM: Rebic’s Besiktas struggles continue after expulsion from training

Ante Rebic’s four-year spell with AC Milan came to an end over the summer as he went to Besiktas, and things are not going too well for him so far.

As Fanatik (via Calciomercato.com) report, a few hours before the match between Besiktas and Gaziantep, head coach Burak Yilmaz removed Rebic from their training session.

The reason was because the Croatian demonstrated an ‘undisciplined attitude’ as per the Turkish sauce, and it is an incident that certainly does not contribute to improving a negative start to the season for him.

He has nine appearances for Besiktas but only two of them were as a starter (against Neftchi Baku in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers and in the Turkish Super Lig in a defeat against Trabzonspor on 17 September), while he has 0 goals and 0 assists.

These are numbers that illustrate that he is going through a moment of difficulty at his old club and Yilmaz’s dismissal of him from training certainly doesn’t help improve the situation.

It must be recalled that Rebic was not even named in the squad for the last three Milan games of last season amid speculation Stefano Pioli was not happy with his attitude in training.
