CM: Rebic to channel ‘big-game energy’ for Milan in first outing at Atalanta

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic will make his first appearance away at Ataklanra this Sunday evening as AC Milan will look to continue their unbeaten run in the league. The Croatian, therefore, will have to channel his big-game energy.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Rebic will take on a leading role for the Rossoneri as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still injured. He has never played in Bergamo before despite playing for Fiorentina, Hellas Verona and Milan.

In the heavy 5-0 defeat two years ago, he remained on the bench and on the final day of last season, he was in the stands due to an injury (Milan, of course, won 2-0). He will have an extra incentive to get off the mark at this stadium, in other words.

Rebic has a similar attitude to Ibrahimovic as we saw in the game against Juventus. He silenced Leonardo Bonucci and the Juve fans before scoring the equaliser, and then he protested heavily when Franck Kessie was sent off mid-week. And in the big games, he has been very successful this season.
