CM: Red Bull Salzburg star tops Milan’s list of targets to fix problem area

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan know that they will have to sign a new striker next summer and there is one name that currently tops the list, a report claims.

There are a number of uncertainties about Milan’s forward options beyond this season, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic will likely retire at the end of the current campaign, while the 35-year-old Olivier Giroud is expected to renew but continues to work overtime due to the worrying physical condition of Divock Origi.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan management are aware that they will have to ‘redo’ the attack ahead of next season for the reasons mentioned above, and among the priorities is to sign a new striker.

Among the list of names they have drawn up, the one they like best is Red Bull Salzburg’s Noah Okafor. The 22-year-old Swiss forward has 7 goals and 2 assists in 12 games this season including 2 in 2 Champions League appearances against Milan and Chelsea.

  1. Personally, I’d like if we could get a playmaking striker like Firmino but 8 don’t think the management consider him a transfer target. He’ll fit seamlessly into this team.
