CM: Renato Sanches waits for news at Lille’s preseason camp as PSG stall – the situation

The uncertainty surrounding the future of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches should soon be lifted, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report how Sanches has left with Lille for their preseason training camp under the orders of new head coach Paulo Fonseca while waiting for market developments.

PSG have made a bid worth €10m, while the Rossoneri have offered €10m plus €5m in bonuses. Lille would prefer to collect more despite the fact Sanches’ deal runs out in June 2023 but above all they would rather sell to Milan than strengthen a rival in France.

Sanches for his part has often changed his mind in recent weeks and although he is very close to PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos, not everyone at the Ligue 1 champions are convinced to close the deal because there are still many unwanted players that must be sold on the market.

Sanches is waiting confidently, but time is starting to run out. This is a situation that would favour Milan, but they must find an agreement on terms with agent Jorge Mendes.
