CM: Romagnoli returns and Milan look to the future – want to avoid another Donnarumma case

In addition to reinforcing the squad, one of Milan’s goals is to renew their important players. Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu will expire next summer, but another player must be dealt with too.

Alessio Romagnoli, the Rossoneri’s captain, last renewed his deal with the club in 2018, signing a four-year contract. As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan want to avoid another Donnarumma/Calhanoglu case with the defender.

Therefore, the aim is to reach an agreement in the near future. Mino Raiola is the player’s agent and this means that it won’t be easy for Milan, far from it. Most likely, it will be linked to the renewals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Donnarumma.

That being said, there is optimism as all parties want to continue together. There’s no rush, but the club will make sure not to be empty-handed come June 2021, as that would result in an even tougher negotiation with the powerful agent.
