CM: Romagnoli to encounter Lazio paradox – important opportunity with an eye to the future

Alessio Romagnoli is set for a big opportunity tonight and it will come against his boyhood club Lazio, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reports how Simon Kjaer is set to start tonight’s game on the bench as he catches his breath after playing and scoring for Denmark during the international break, with the 32-year-old preserved ahead of the Champions League return at Anfield on Wednesday night.

After two minutes against Sampdoria and having been on the bench for the whole match in the victory against Cagliari, Romangoli is ready for his chance against his Lazio, the team for he cheered as a boy.

Interestingly, they are also the team that are trying to sign him on a free transfer ahead of next season. There is no negotiation over a renewal so Romagnoli is evaluating the best solution for his future, with Lotito and Tare in the front row to sign him for Sarri.

However, Romagnoli and Milan must pass the first litmus test of the season ahead of what is a crucial next eight days, and the captain will have to show all of his experience and leadership.
