CM: Saelemaekers ‘not bothered’ by mercato rumours – his stance is clear

By Isak Möller -

Alexis Saelemaekers rescued AC Milan from what would be been a very tough defeat against Roma last night, scoring the equaliser in the 97th minute. And the Belgian has a clear stance on his future with the club.

The Belgian has done quite well as of late but the fact remains that he doesn’t register that many points. This season, the 23-year-old has four goals and two assists in all competitions, which isn’t horrendous but not great either.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Saelemaekers is aware of the rumours suggesting that Milan are looking to sign a right-winger. However, he is ‘not bothered’ by that at all, fully focused on proving himself regardless of the playing time he gets.

It’s likely that he could play from the first minute in Milan’s mid-week clash against Cremonese and it’s an opportunity for him to do well. The Rossoneri sure could use all the help they can get, as the top-four race is getting tougher.

  1. He’s very useful as a squad player. We should keep him. The ones we should offload are: Origi, Rebic, Bakayoko and (sorry!) Ibra. Adli should be loaned and CDK in my opinion must be get another chance next season.

    1. Dont understand why rebic so struggle this season. Milan should sign player like bennacer for diaz replacement. Should magician if you use no. 10 at milan.

  2. He is defensive winger. If ACM have receive offer 20-25m euro for saladmaker better accept that . But if below 20m euro better keep him as depth,

  3. I’ve always liked this guy despite his sometimes frustrating play but that Napoli game showed what he can do. I say we keep him whoever we get in for the right wing.
