CM: Sala meeting and management debrief on Cardinale’s Monday agenda

By Oliver Fisher -

Gerry Cardinale is currently in Italy and he will be present at tonight’s game against Inter at San Siro this evening, but there are other important things on his agenda too.

According to Calciomercato.com, Cardinale will be at the stadium tonight and will hope to see AC Milan delay Inter’s Scudetto party, but before that his day is full of other commitments.

In fact, a meeting with the city mayor Beppe Sala is on the agenda to address the issue related to the stadium, even if the first option for the Rossoneri remains a new home in San Donato after the program agreement announcement on Friday.

Cardinale will then sit down with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio to take stock of how things are at Milan and the planning phase for next season.

Among the issues to be discussed there is also and above all that of next season’s head coach, given that Stefano Pioli is destined to be sacked a year before the expiry of his contract.

In truth, everything that has emerged in the last two or three days regarding who might take over has been white noise, with no true frontrunner emerging amid the links and denials.
