Fellow Serie A side Lazio have joined the fight with AC Milan to try and sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea this summer, a report claims.
As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Biancocelesti think that they can convince the English midfielder to sign for them rather than Milan.
The 27-year-old is set to leave Chelsea and he has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri, but the sacking of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara has cast doubt over the transfer. Chelsea have been waiting to see if Milan still actually want to sign him.
The Premier League side want to shift the former Crystal Palace player off of the wage bill, whilst getting a small transfer fee at the same time.
Given the interest from Milan is effectively on standby right now, Lazio could have the chance to swoop in and steal the player as the player and Chelsea want to move done quickly.
Milan please lie down and let Lazio walk over our asleep body on this one. There is absolutely no need to compete for this fragile handle-with-care midfielder.
Go get him lazio .
