CM: Spurs will not budge on €15m demands – Milan to proceed after evaluations

AC Milan had previously hoped to get the signing of Emerson Royal wrapped up over the weekend but it now looks like they will have to wait another few days, a report claims.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani expect to close this long negotiation with Tottenham by Wednesday at the latest with ‘decisive hours’ coming up. Spurs meanwhile are already looking for a replacement for the right-back.

The London club have been clear with Milan even in the last few hours: a fixed transfer fee of €15m is needed, otherwise they will not accept the bid. The Rossoneri directors offered €13m and, last weekend, expressed to Daniel Levy their willingness to reach €14m.

That’s not enough though, because Spurs are adamant about the figure, and while there was some hope that bonuses would help reach an agreement it seems they will not budge at all on the fixed amount demanded.

After careful internal evaluations, Milan are expected to say yes to the request and raise their bid. The Brazilian defender already has an agreement with the Rossoneri club for a four-year contract, with an option for a fifth, at €3m net per season.

The deal is unlikely to close today but between tomorrow and Wednesday. The final details are being resolved with Milan who will pay €15m and get cover for the right-back role after Alessandro Florenzi’s injury.

      1. J.David for 25M, which is Tammy asking price who is coming from a very bad season after a 1year of injury.

        Fofana is target anyway.

Fiorentina are looking for midfielder, while we want to unload some. Getting a young, dynamic Italian RB who might soon explode like Udogie did last year, who doesn’t want to play as N2 to Dodo at Fiorentina, should be the logical move, not Tottenham 26yo sub.

Ricci is similar player to Bennacer who plans to leave next year, 1 year under-him to develop would give us his replacement this year already.

All of these moves are 25 and under, which is the price range we go for. We currently are at +10M, also waiting for Brescianini 5M, and Adli+Pobega money. We also consecutively came at -50M during mercatos. We also own all of our players, no one is on loan, so we can easily go for Ricci/Kayode with some loan+obligation.

        1. I’m not reading all that. You’d win a second star in fifa manager. Real life. You can bring 3 wc players into this team and they still won’t win it next season. Shît, you can bring 3 wc players and Don Carlo back and still won’t win it.

        2. Jonathan David makes sense, but the Italian players you named are far from good. I mean if they were so great where were they for the national team?

Quality vs Quantity seems to be an issue with Italian players right now.

        3. People keep throwing out Jonathan David’s name like he’s a possibility; he wants to go to England and his agent wants the English money, that’s why you’ve only heard him linked with English clubs. Doesn’t matter if his fee is 10M or 50M, it’s unlikely he’d go to Milan, the only way would be if we made the only acceptable offer to Lille, so probably 10M on top of his preferred club’s.

  1. This is ridiculous..dude earns 1.4M net at spurs and we wanna give him 3M net? Why? Why double his salary?
I’d understand it if it was for somebody coming after a good season and a proper baller..he is neither.

For cherry on top, calabria plays for 2M net…

  2. Kaka 22 is like you are saying my mind. Kayode is the perfect player for that position and he is Italian. The youngster is pacey, strong, confident, and agile. At least he is an update to Calabria who always got outpaced by pacey wingers. Calabria also lacks physicality which the kid has. As for Emerson if we eventually sign him, just within a season or two we will look for another player to replace him mark my words.

  3. Florenzis injury has probably cost us the extra 2 mil because they know how bad we need cover now but of all the transfers we’ve walked away from, this would make sense to. There must be right backs for loan or free’s in the market. Should put the money on a prime or ever so slightly pre prime striker. Inter are stronger than last year with zero spend and we’ve 40 of our supposed 100m and we’re no stronger. Could have just extended romagnoli and kessies contract but no we had to show how mighty we are in the boardroom instead of on the pitch. Muppets
