CM: Spurs and Real Madrid duo the alternatives as Man Utd want €20m for full-back

The AC Milan management are working to fill one final gap in the defensive department, namely the role of deputy to Davide Calabria.

After completing the left side with the signing of Fode Ballo-Touré as an alternative to Theo Hernandez, Milan continues to monitor the market for the opposite flank, which will still be occupied by Davide Calabria after his renewal until 2025.

Calciomercato.com writes that the Rossoneri’s first choice target remains Diogo Dalot, but he is the most complicated target to pursue at the moment as Manchester United are not interested in considering Milan’s offer of renewing the loan with an option to buy included.

After he played at the European Championships, the Red Devils are now demanding at least an obligation to buy at a figure not far from €20m, and now Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has registered an interest too.

That could mean that Real let Alvaro Odriozola leave on loan though, and as part of the talks about Brahim Diaz’s return to Milan – together with the names of Isco and Ceballos – Maldini and Massara discussed Odriozola who could be an alternative target.

Spurs defender Serge Aurier is another alternative, and his contract with Tottenham expires in 2022 and the new coach Nuno Espirito Santo will be called upon to decide his future shortly. No contact has yet taken place between Milan and Tottenham, but he is a possible solution.
