CM: Stalled renewal and PSG contact – Kessie ready to return amid a chaotic backdrop

By Oliver Fisher -

Franck Kessie is gearing up to return to the field and put on the Milan shirt again, but he will do so against a backdrop of uncertainty.

Calciomercato.com writes that Kessie’s future is still very much all to play for as his renewal has not arrives, with anxiety growing given that his contract expires at the end of this season and reports of other interested clubs are beginning to grow.

Paris Saint-Germain remain in the background waiting to pounce and their sporting director Leonardo has had conversations with Paolo Maldini about a potential deal. In the meantime, Kessie – who missed the first two games of the season due to a muscle problem – is ready to return to the field and thus start his 2021-22 season.

The Ivorian will begin work with the rest of the squad ahead of crucial games against Lazio, Liverpool and Juventus. In the first he will battle with a top midfielder like Milinkovic-Savic and then he will make his debut in the Champions League. He wants to have his say on the pitch, while we wait to know his future off it.

  1. It’s quite unfortunate how players use milan to develop and end up leaving bcos of their high demands ,as good as lazio players are ,immobile is the highest paid player with 4mil and still loyal ,zapata collects thesame amount but milan players start seeing themselves as modern Messi and greedily want more

  2. Utilize kessie as pioli requires, if he doesn’t sign for extension then be it, if a rich club wants to buy him in January then sell him. I don’t like the idea of benching a fit quality player, milan shall march on with their best players

  3. He’s gone. Sign KAMARA In January as his replacement. Don’t fuck this up Elliot. Sign Kamara and Faivre in January and we are solid.
