CM: Talented left-back observed by Milan during scouting mission – the latest

By Isak Möller -

One of the positions that AC Milan might need to reinforce ahead of next season is the left-back one, as Fode Ballo-Toure is expected to leave. A recent scouting mission has identified a target, a report claims.

There’s no disputing that Theo Hernandez is untouchable in Milan’s starting XI and we have seen that this season. Nevertheless, the Rossoneri need a capable back-up and Ballo-Toure hasn’t exactly been that man.

As was reported by Daniele Longo earlier today (read here), Milan had a scout present to watch the last two games of Anderlecht and Ajax. In a piece on Calciomercato.com, the journalist has added that Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez is one of the observed.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Belgian side from Dortmund last summer, has impressed this season and Milan are keeping tabs on the situation. Gomez can play anywhere on the left flank but his main position is left-back, where he could rotate with Hernandez at Milan.
