Mehdi Taremi scored a sensational goal for Porto last night, and what happened during the summer transfer window could become a ‘what if’ moment for Milan.
As Calciomercato.com report, Porto moved to top of the league last night with their fourth win in five games to begin the new season. They won 1-0, and it was Taremi who scored the winning goal.
The 31-year-old Iranian centre-forward was sought by Milan for a long time during the summer mercato, and negotiations only came to an end during the last 24 hours of the window, with the striker remaining on Portuguese soil for the last year of his contract.
The Rossoneri instead opted for Luka Jovic, whose future will depend on his performances on the pitch this season. It is unlikely that – even on a free transfer – Taremi will cross paths with Milan again but nothing can be excluded.
What seems certain is that he will not extend his deal with Porto and will leave on a free in 2024, but he wants to go out with big contributions.

Depends if by then he decides on which agent represents him 😉
Take him for free, get another young top talent. I yhink that will do
Pains me to see victor Boniface absolutely firing for Leverkusen for only 20M, may have been a change missed there
