There are some fireworks on the final day of the window as Ismael Bennacer apparently wants to leave, which has irritated that AC Milan management.
Calciomercato.com report that after their summer attempt Marseille have prepared a second offensive for Bennacer. The coincidences are obvious: both came about on the last day of the mercato and with the same formula, a loan with option to buy.

The only difference is that for this transfer market session the French club have decided to make an effort for the loan with a €1m fee, then the option being €10m. This is not enough for Milan, who in turn would be forced to return to the market to look for a new midfielder so late in the window.
However, the report adds that Milan are ‘annoyed’ both by the way Marseille are acting and by Bennacer’s pressing request to be sold. The Algerian has already reached a full agreement with the French club and is pushing hard to join up with Roberto De Zerbi.
This has created ‘tension within the Rossoneri’. Milan have not yet accepted Marseille’s offer for two reasons: the midfield depth is already very thin and Marseille’s offer is considered too low. The negotiation is progressing with many difficulties, Bennacer wants to go to Marseille.
Yesterday’s change at half-time in the derby also sounds like Sergio Conceição’s first rejection. These are ‘frantic hours’ – the Diavolo must also resolve the Bennacer case.

This all falls on these clowns for not even attempting to sign another midfielder to give backup. Frendrup would not have been even very expensive, but they chose to be cheap and call bennacer “a new signing” after coming back, and now they pay the price for that incompetence
This is a pretty brainless comment. Forward and RB were the biggest needs. And they were addressed! Ian there’s this wonderful site called fbref.com look up frenkamps passing stats and then tell how he makes the squad better? Seriously the guy is in the BOTTOM 3% for progressive passes. At this point you goons are complaining just to complain. Please educate yourself before you type
Only those that don’t understand football but they think that they know it all acusse others of being “brainless”. A good midfielder was and is desperately needed as much as a forward or RB.
There’s literally nothing these people like Ian won’t complain about. They complain that the owner won’t spend money. Clearly that’s not the case.
They were screaming about our RB problem, the management upgraded the RB position.
They were screaming that we needed a striker, they went out and got a good young striker.
They addressed our 2 biggest weaknesses in the winter mercado where traditionally Milan doesn’t make any moves at all.
But Ian is just an angry little troll who wants to complain.
Talking about brainless comment then goes on to say RB and forwards were the biggest needs. Talk about irony. We’ve been without a DM for the last 6 or so transfer windows, how is that not the most pressing need? Do people not see Deers and the make shift DM Fofana getting burnt out? We have 125 right backs, granted Walker is an upgrade but he’s not a bigger need than a midfielder.
And who the hec.k looks at progressive passes for a defensive midfielder? Did u just pull a sh!tty stat for no reason? Why didn’t you mentioned that Frendrup is 97 percentile for tackling and interceptions among midfielders in the whole of Europe? That’s how we make the team better because no one in the team is close to those stats, please educate yourself better.
Damn, he has family, mate. Don’t murder him like that 🙂
Progressive passes are literally the most important offensive stat for defensive midfielders who play possession-oriented football. see Busquets, Rodrí, Jorginho.
It’s an especially glaring need for Milan since Reijnders, (especially) Musah, Loftus-Cheek and (to a lesser extent) Fofana all are more comfortable progressing the ball by dribbling than by passing.
All of Milan’s midfielders average below 7 progressive passes per 90. By comparison Rodri averages 11.5 /90. Çalhanoğlu averages 9/90.
But anyway, keep talking about things you know nothing about.
“the most important offensive stat for defensive midfielders ” Kool you’ve said it all. To come full circle, let us know what’s the most important defensive stat for a striker
Imagine, Milan players have average of 7, and Calhanoglu, the guy that does only that basically has 9. You really know what you’re talking about. Let’s hear more.
How were forward and RB biggest needs when Milan has 3 midfielders?
How does it feel to be a clown who constantly bets against Milan just for your ‘gotcha’ moments in social media?
Unless they have someone else coming in (and even then), we have to keep him. Our midfield is stretched so thin.
Sol low….
10 million…
They should let him go, it’s clear now that Conceicao doesn’t want him, and in my personal opinion Bennacer made the right decision. I wish him all the best.
Waiting until deadline day to demand a transfer? I wouldn’t call that the right decision…
No. He’s been waiting for the transfer since last summer when the club transfer listed him – showing a lack of trust in him – whether rightly so or not, that’s another topic. It’s the French club that has waited until the last day to make an offer, not the players fault. Now he’s under a contract and Milan must decide on the club’s interest.
No, but until the offer came in. That is when you make the decision. If there is no offer there is nothing to decide. So he didn’t demand a transfer but accepted the offer.
In this case, as long as we don’t have a replacement in place we don’t sell. Doesn’t matter if Bennacer goes.
The leadership need to do a lot better.
The coach doesn’t want him; he slows down the game, makes too many wrong passes, and turns too much. They should just let him go. He isn’t offering much. We have till evening to get a replacement.
That was why we lost the match ,
Know one to slow inters pressure
That was why we could not plan
We was there doing the planing in the first half
We where 1 goal up we are ment to control the game we are playing inter Milan not parma
I understand people wanting to let him go for many good reasons. However, for the rep of the club, we cannot be bullied into selling a player for at least half of what he’s worth just bc the player wants to go. I don’t think he’s negatively effecting the locker room bad enough that it’d be worth it to lose out on at least another 10 million and probably not be able to replace him until the summer.
obligation to buy then they can have him we don’t want him to return in the summer
Telenovela! Milan is being served their own medicine. Was it not reported that Milan brought a bid on deadline day for Gimenez in the summer at half the value of another club’s bid?
Milan actively used the willpower of Gimenez, who preferred Milan to negotiate terms. Another club is using the same tactics and Milan is irritated? why?
Allow him to leave and find another player! simple. we were in need of another deputy for Fofana and TIjj with work rate, who also has some brains. They have spent 4 weeks to get only a striker and a defender, and are sweating to get the midfielder deal over the line.
Unlike toyota: bad thinking => bad product.
He sucks, no one is crying about him leaving
Bondo actually runs unlike him
It’s what happens when you use “Ibra tone” and force players out. This is one messy club with toxic atmosphere and those last who understood values and DNA of Milan are being either forced out or want to leave.
The only toxic atmosphere is in this sub which most of you just love to hate on literally everything and everyone
and you call yourselves Milan fans
what a joke
Isma 2nd mercato in a row on a last day of it, asks for a transfer.
Not nice…
If we’re using our 3 UCL list changes on Felix, Walker and Gimenez, we have no more changes to swap Bennacer out. If he leaves, then we play in UCL with a Foreigner player less.
I say keep him. He spent Sept, Oct, Nov and half of Dec in the Medical Room. Make him earn his pay before shipping him off in the Summer.
10 million for who, damn it. Did they want to buy Kevin zeroli that they want to put 10 million dollars for Ben. That’s too small
Why should the management wait till summer market before signing Ricci? They should go all in Ricci now because there will be more competitor.
Sell and replace with Hjulmand.
10 millions isn’t enough in my opinion, he has a release clause in his contract at 50 million, I think somewhere in the middle would be reasonable
He has not been worth “somewhere in the middle” in the last two years.
Marseille knocking on the door in the last hours for the window for the second time in a row. Their timing is clearly on purpose. Naughty. I like Bennacer but imo he must leave in the summer at all cost. His mind is clearly elsewhere.
Only 10M for Bennacer??
Not sure why we were in a rush to sell even if he wanted to go. Wait until the summer and let the Arab teams bid for him and get some real money for him. 10M is a joke. And it’s not a guarantee it’s an option.
We need a mid. Musah is raw; RLC is injury -prone (shocking) and Fofana and Reindjers cannot start every game. Another poor deal by Furlani.
Frendrup Would have been sweet. But we won’t pay that kind of $$$
