Fikayo Tomori continues to be a crucial part of AC Milan’s present and future and that is unlikely to change despite interest from England, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write how Tomori has found consistency in his performances recently after some ups and downs earlier in the season. He was particularly excellent in the Champions League in the ties against Tottenham and Napoli.
These performances that have not gone unnoticed even in his home country, starting with the national team. The decision to exclude Tomori from the squad list for the World Cup by Gareth Southgate drew some surprise, especially with the likes of Coady, Dier and Maguire getting instead.
However, things could change in the hierarchies as The Athletic report that Steve Holland – a member of England’s staff – was present at the Stadio Maradona for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals between Napoli and Milan to watch Tomori.
That means he could well receive call-up for the next round of the European qualifiers in June against Malta and North Macedonia, but it is not only the English national team that feel some regret.
Tottenham and Manchester United are keen on signing the former Chelsea man to fix the structural problems in their respective defensive departments net – which ironically have Dier and Maguire in there – and they consider Tomori as the ideal profile.
However, it will be extremely complicated to sign him because Tomori signed a renewal until 2027 which puts the Rossoneri in a position of clear strength in negotiations. However, there is also the will of the player to sway: he wants to remain at Milan and the club want to keep him.
