AC Milan are working to extend the contract of Rafael Leao, who has been an important player for the Rossoneri this season. The current deal will expire in 2024 and a few suitors are probing the situation.
The Portuguese winger has found the back of the ent 12 times this season (all comps), assisting an additional 7 goals. In short, he has been a key player for the Rossoneri and it’s not exactly a surprise that they want to keep him.
The renewal talks have been far from easy, though, and a move in the summer perhaps shouldn’t be excluded. As was reported by MilanNews a few days ago, a big offer has arrived for Leao from abroad and Milan have made it clear that they want at least €70-80m.
The high price tag is not just for the performances, but also because Lille have a % on a future resale. Some have said it’s 15, others 20, but Calciomercato.com are now reporting that the real number is just 10%.
