CM: Two Premier League sides interested in Borini

By Oliver Fisher -

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa have made enquiries over AC Milan forward Fabio Borini, according to a report.

Milan’s farewell to the 4-3-3 formation used by Gennaro Gattuso and the switch to the 4-3-1-2 of new head coach Marco Giampaolo could spell the end of Borini’s time at the club.

Having arrived two summers ago from Sunderland, Borini has made 78 appearances for the Rossoneri in all competitions, scoring eight goals and adding six assists.

According to calciomercato.com a return to England could be on the cards though, as Crystal Palace have requested information on the former Liverpool man.

Borini for his part would be open to a move to Selhurst Park but there are no offers on the table and discussions are still at a very early stage.

La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s Nicolo Schira claims that Palace will shortly submit an offer to Milan. Fabio would like to stay in Italy but currently he has more suitors abroad due to his €2.5m-a-year salary.

Newly-promoted Aston Villa are also lurking, while Milan have set their price tag at €15million.
