CM: U21 Euros could be key as Milan make decision regarding De Ketelaere

AC Milan have seemingly opened up to the idea of selling Charles De Ketelaere this summer for the right price, a report claims.

A report from Calciomercato.com starts by stating that the priority for Milan’s new management will be the sales of players no longer deemed part of the project to increase the budget for signings.

The plan is to try and keep the big names, but this means that players like De Ketelaere could be on their way out, especially after a difficult first season in which he did not manage a single goal and got just one assist.

A peremptory decision was made at Casa Milan given his difficulty in adapting, and that is that De Ketelaere can be sold for the right price, especially given that Stefano Pioli has not really found a role for him from a tactical point of view.

Now, Milan hope that the Belgian playmaker shows his talent at the U21 European Championships with his country to relaunch himself. If he does, then they hope a club will show up and offer the €30m needed for his exit to be approved.
