CM: Verona leapfrog Milan and Roma as Fiorentina refuse to sell starlet Vlahovic

By Isak Möller -

In recent weeks, Milan have been heavily linked with Dusan Vlahovic as a potential successor for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, Fiorentina won’t budge and the striker isn’t expected to join the Rossoneri, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, although Vlahovic lost his spot to Patrick Cutrone after the league restart, La Viola aren’t willing to sell him outright. Instead, they are seriously evaluating the possibility of loaning out the player.

The 20-year-old would thus get more playing time and subsequently experience ahead of the future. Fiorentina have no doubts about his quality, per the report, and want to bet on him when the time is right.

That being said, the destination will most likely be a low-profile team that can guarantee Vlahovic the playing time. Crotone have made contacts in the past, but it seems that Hellas Verona are ahead in the race.

Meanwhile, as Fiorentina have made it clear that a sale isn’t an option, Milan and Roma are far behind. The two would have gladly signed the striker outright, but that won’t happen this summer.
