CM: Vlahovic willing to cut salary in half to reunite with Allegri at Milan

Dusan Vlahovic is willing to reduce his salary significantly in order to get a move to AC Milan this summer, with Max Allegri keen on a reunion.

In the latest meetings with the sporting director Igli Tare, Allegri has made it clear that Milan need a striker before the window closes. An agreement is seemingly close for Sporting Lisbon’s Conrad Harder, but as things stand, nothing has been completed yet.

As such, the Vlahovic option remains alive and it’s the one that Allegri would prefer. Not just because they have worked together before, but also because the Serbian is very experienced and would add immediate quality to the team.

Vlahovic takes first step

According to Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic has made it clear that a salary decrease isn’t a problem to join Milan. Indeed, he would accept a salary of €6m plus bouses per year spread across four years, with the total (including bonus) potentially reaching €7.5m per year.

The fixed base, i.e. €6m, is half of what he currently earns at Juventus. That being said, Milan also need to decide what to do, as they haven’t made any concrete attempts for the striker just yet. Juventus, for their part, would accept a figure lower than the initial €20m request.

The Bianconeri are looking to sign Randal Kolo Muani and the sale of Vlahovic would help them close the deal, so there is some urgency involved.

  1. 15M for the deal with 6M in salary is fine
10-12M for Rabiot if he accepts 4-5M max in salary is also a good deal

stealing Kiwior from Porto, another move that needs to be made

Harder/Lookman depends on what this management wants from the team

          1. and who wanted Athekame? Harder?

Arteta didn’t kick him out, why make up lies?! just because he is leaving doesn’t mean $hit… not every teams has parasites and headless chickens. Kiwior is no Gabriel or Saliba, that’s why he’s leaving…

we can’t spend 30+ on players, who can we buy then? Pavlovic and Gabbia are shaky, we need at least 1 player in CB.

    1. Intrigued to hear how you’d plan to poach Kiwior from a team with UCL exposure & domestic trophy prospects this season

  2. If we get rid of utter garbage like Chukwueze, Musah, parasite Bennacer and possibly Loftus Chick – would be awesome

    In : Rabiot + Vlahovic

    Maignan
    Tomori De Winter Pavlovic
    Ricci Rabiot
    Pulisic Modric Jashari Leao
    Vlahovic

    1. 3-2-4-1…you actually expect Allegri to be progressive enough to play a 3-2-4-1?! You’d better sit back down and accept a playing style of 3-5-2 on paper and 5-3-2 in practice this season if you’re lucky, 5-4-1 is the most likely outcome on the pitch

  3. Out – jimenez from Spain, this bastard showed all his disrepect for the club and Allegri recently . Good riddance to Como…

  4. prefer him to that Dane, we dont nedd another prospect, we have Camarda. we need goals now..no more cheapskate stuff, we got 200 mill

  5. As I said before. Run, don’t walk. Get Vlahovic We need a #9 period. Gimenez is a skilled player, just not a proper striker. Not very strong, not the ideal height and doesn’t have the quickness to compensate. Would be elite bench player.

    1. Gimenez ?)) While all the squad was training hard at Milanello, he took a leave of absence for 2 weeks to eat burritos in Mexico…
Look at Giroux , 39, scoring every week in France…

      1. Calm down dude, Gimenez was with the national team when the rest where on break. People are not robots and need a break.

  6. At this point just do the deal. If he actually is willing to half his wages and you can get him for less than 20m it’s a good deal and probably the best we can get.

  7. Vlahovic needs to understand that his value as a player has gone down. Not sure if I would pay him more then 4 M. As for Juve, they need to understand teh same, we take him for 2M with an option to buy him for 13M. If that is the case take him, if not just forget about him and go for a younger more promissing player.

    1. Yes, he should pay Milan to play. And Juventus should give him on loan so he can just join Milan for free next summer. Good idea.

  8. Great. I hope Allegri gets what he wants. Realistically both are top players, Rabiot had a top season and Vlahovic will be out for revenge. It is the same mentality you value in Pavlovic, but he is too clumsy to be good.

  9. Med Kiwior Rabiot och Vlahovic joggar vi hem scudetton. Blockera Furlani Mocada och Zlatan från beslutsfattandet

  10. Harder has Furlani written all over it which is quite dense given their “directorless” signings were atrocious last season and there’s no way Allegri requested this kid.

Give the man what he needs to make this thing get off the ground. The numbers aren’t even astronomical. Sure 6mil is steep for Vlahovic but playing an untested kid in a new league with a new language and team mates will end up costing us more …

  11. I normally don’t like to sign players with Vlahovic attitude, but right now we need him. We are looking like we are headed to a worse season than last season right now.
