CM: What filters regarding the idea Milan could try again for Porto star

It is no secret that AC Milan pursued Porto striker Mehdi Taremi during the summer transfer window, but there has been speculation they could try again in January.

Virtually every reliable source claimed that Milan strongly went after Taremi towards the end of the summer transfer window and even agreed a deal with Porto, but everything collapsed because the player and his entourage changed the demands over terms.

Given that Milan ended up signing Luka Jovic on a free transfer on deadline day instead, there have been some rumours suggesting they could go back in for Taremi, whose deal expires next June.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, the idea of seeing Taremi at Milan is ‘difficult if not impossible’. The management are still admirers of the Iran international, but the problems encountered during the summer have not been forgotten.

Thus, they are likely to go for other targets, perhaps such as Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.
