The year that is about to come to an end hasn’t been a happy one for AC Milan. From the Champions League miss by just one point, the total failure of Giampaolo’s project to the historical humiliation against Atalanta.
For the Rossoneri, the time has come to write a new chapter, starting from the January transfer window. As hinted by Zvone Boban, Milan will be the protagonists of the market, as they clearly need the reinforcements.
As reported by Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, Jean-Clair Todibo remains the priority to strengthen Stefano Pioli’s defence. Progress has been made in the negotiations with Barcelona, as an agreement isn’t far away (could be close in early January).
The 19-year-old has opened up to the Rossoneri transfer. Meanwhile, per the report, Milan are working with his agent to reach an economic agreement. The Rossoneri are keen to secure the deal soon, as there are other teams in the race as well.
As for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a renewed optimism is filtering from the club, as the offer of the latter has been slightly improved. If a response hasn’t arrived by December 27th, Milan will immediately switch focus to other targets, per the report.
Bringing in a striker and a defender is the plan A of Milan on the market. Depending on the opportunities, as the report states, the Rossoneri could go with another plan which includes signing a midfielder.
