Milan are always looking for opportunities on the market and with the summer window coming up, there will be some free agents available. In fact, several names have already been linked with the club.
One of the players in question is Otavio, who plays for Porto. His contract was set to expire at the end of the season but he decided to renew it yesterday. Milan missed out on his services, in other words.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri’s interest was indeed confirmed and they made concrete moves to sign the attacking midfielder. However, Porto put a contract worth almost €3m on the table, plus a sign-on bonus.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, therefore, didn’t want to raise their offer and it remains to be seen if they will sign any free agents this summer. Florian Thauvin seems to be an option still, but he could also renew with Marseille.
