CM: Zidane made request to Real Madrid board regarding midfielder’s move to Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was the one who asked the board not to sell Brahim Diaz outright to AC Milan, a report claims.

The attacking midfielder arrived on a season-long dry loan earlier in the summer and has made a good impression so far, with a number of outlets claiming that Milan will hold talks with Real Madrid about turning his loan deal into a permanent one as the season goes on, like what happened with Ante Rebic and Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to Calciomercato.com, it was Zidane himself who asked Real Madrid not to lose control of the 21-year-old and therefore to only sanction a loan deal.

Brahim, who scored twice last night with the Spain U21 natioanl team, will be watched at various points this season by the Frenchman as he attempts to establish how big a part he has in his plans for Los Blancos, if indeed he features at all.
