CM.it: Milan have full-back on their radar that Man City could sell for €18-20m

By Oliver Fisher -

The nature of football is unpredictable and that is why preparing for situations in advance is always recommended, such as the potential departure of star players.

Calciomercato.it report that Milan have Sergio Gomez on their radar, a left-back who established himself at Anderlecht and then moved to Manchester City for €15m where he is now struggling to get starts.

The arrival of Josko Gvardiol as the most expensive defender in the history of football has further limited his playing and for this reason it is possible that he will leave either in January or next summer.

Due to his characteristics, young age and potential, the 23-year-old could represent the ideal profile for Milan, who are known to be in the market for a deputy to Theo Hernandez.

City could open to the sale of Gomez in the face of an offer of €18-20m. In addition to being the deputy, the former Barcelona man could be the heir to Theo Hernandez, who could leave (watch out for PSG) in the event of an irrefutable offer.

  1. That’s an absolutely a very bad Idea also parisi cost the same for fiorentina but you didn’t bought either kerkez that cost the same for Bournemouth wow

    1. Kerkez is a Bournemouth level player, and was a complete win for us financially. Paying 200k for a player and selling him on for 1.2m is a massive win. Sergio Gomez is a Barcelona youth product with much more pedigree than both Parisi and Kerkez. The upside is there. Same as with Theo who came through the Atletico academy.

  2. While we’re still on the subject of doing business with M-City, I wonder how do our executives think about the idea of trying to buy Julian Alvarez?!
Surely he won’t be cheap, surely over 50, 60 million, but he’s an investment for the whole next decade. And quite riskless investment, a player who has already proved himself, despite the limited time he gets in City, plus there’s his role in the national team, where he helped significantly in winning the WC!
Thus, if it’s possible to get gum for some 60 million, 3firmly believe that Milan should go for it in the next smer mercato!

    1. You/we gotta move on from Alvarez. We missed the boat and that’s it. We could have had him for cheaper and now he’s 2-3 times more expensive. You cant buy ALL the players names that arrive at your desk.
