CM.it: Former Serie A midfielder linked with move to Milan

By Euan Burns -

Former Serie A midfielder Lucas Torreira has been linked with a move to AC Milan in the summer as the club seeks to improve depth in the midfield, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.it, the Uruguayan midfielder could soon be back in Italy, a country he has played for three different clubs in already.

Torreira made his name whilst playing for Sampdoria but before that, he was at Pescara. After a €29 million move to Arsenal, he had a loan spell at Fiorentina.

He now plays for Galatasaray and the 27-year-old is said to be admired by Milan due to his technical qualities, work rate and knowledge of the division.

He is thought to be a safe signing as Milan cannot afford another bad signing along the lines of Divock Origi and Charles De Ketelaere. Those two players may still come good, but Milan cannot get another player who needs a year to adapt.

  1. Not really care about the player, but glad that my thought is formally written here;

    ‘but Milan cannot get another player who needs a year to adapt.’

  2. Well there’s no much adaptation to be made when you are such a mediocre player. Would be a complete waste of money to bring this guy. Hopefully it’s just one more of the zillion times we have been linked to him and we dodge the bullet one more time.

  3. What about hjolmund from Lecce? I thought he played really well with Lecce against us. Solid player almost never put a foot wrong. Thoughts?
