From Austria: Salzburg boss confirms star is set for January exit as Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool circle

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of teams are circling are reportedly circling for Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai, and one of those teams is Milan.

According to what is being reported in Austria by the newspaper Kleine Zeitung (via MilanNews), several clubs have targeted the young Hungarian talent and the five that are named in particular are Real Madrid, Arsenal, Milan and Liverpool, without forgetting Leipzig.

Szoboszlai continues to prove he can do it at the top level, having scored four goals in five Champions League games this season (including qualifiers) and having netted the winner to send his nation Hungary to the 2021 European Championships.

He already has five goals and nine assists in 13 matches across all competitions this season and could leave the Austrian club as early as January.

It seems that even Jesse Marsch – the Salzburg coach – is resigned to losing his playmaker in the next transfer window. He spoke to the Futbol podcast about the future of Szoboszlai.

“Dominik Szoboszlai has many admirers, he is an incredible talent. If he leaves in January? Yes. Let’s see what happens, but I would be surprised if he stays beyond the winter market.”
