‘Come to Milan’ – Diaby and Fofana joke in social media exchange

Youssouf Fofana and Moussa Diaby have shared a joke on social media about the former’s potential move to AC Milan this summer.

Diaby has recently moved to the Saudi Pro League from Aston Villa after a superb season in the Premier League and he commented on a post (as seen below) of Fofana’s to say ‘come to Milan my champion’, likely as a joke about the number of comments Fofana has received from Milan fans with a similar message.

Fofana then fueled the fire of transfer speculation by responding to Diaby with: “If you’re the one asking, my brother” with four laughing emojis.

It is no real secret that Fofana would like to join Milan as soon as possible given West Ham have offered AS Monaco the €35m that they want, but the move has not progressed because he is waiting for Milan to strike a deal with the Ligue 1 club.

The new offer from Milan is expected to be €20m, but it would also allow Monaco to collect 10% of any fee that Milan then sell him for in the future.

Considering Fofana will be leaving Monaco for less than his market value due to having one year left on his contract, and that he is 25 years old, Milan could well end up selling him for more than €20m in the future if he performs well.
