In recent minutes, Ruben Amorim has been appointed as the new AC Milan head coach and Gerry Cardinale and the Portuguese offered comments.
It has seemed like a matter of when rather than if for Amorim in recent days and now, the Portuguese has been confirmed as the new head coach of Milan. Whilst it is a gamble, the Rossoneri have their new man and there is plenty of confidence in him.

Although his time in Manchester was not massively successful, his time at Sporting proved that he was one of the best young European coaches around and he will be keen to get back to that level with a club that he has always had his eyes on.
Indeed, almost a decade ago, he claimed it would be a dream to manage at San Siro.
Amorim and Cardinale’s comments
Now, it has come true and he spoke about those feelings in his announcement.
“There are ambitions that stay with you throughout your career, and for me, coaching AC Milan has always been one of them. I know perfectly well what this club represents: history, prestige, and an extraordinary fan base around the world.
“It’s a challenge I face with pride and enthusiasm, fully aware of what these colours mean. I can’t wait to get started and experience the passion that drives AC Milan every day.”
He was not the only one to comment, with Gerry Cardinale also offering some words.
“We’ve been following Rúben for years. His journey at Sporting has been extraordinary and perfectly matches the style of play we’re looking for.
“He’s one of the most talented and innovative coaches of the new European generation: young, ambitious, with a clear footballing identity and a well-defined tactical approach.
“Rúben believes in attacking, high-intensity football. His philosophy fits perfectly with our vision, and his leadership qualities, combined with his ability to develop players, have impressed us deeply. We believe in him and are thrilled to welcome him to the Club.”

Amorim is good, even at United for those who folllow, he cleaned up the team and all his signings were good. I agree he did not win but united is now winning with his work.
This is not popularity cutest but a business that needs fixing. He will do well.

In my books Amorim is a good manager and we are not Man U, therefore I think that he is best option out of all names we were considering. He also knows he cannot repeat Man U, we all live and learn.

Dejan chances are actually decent. Before Man U episode this manager was a hot property. I am just sick of all negativity. Allegri was a bad decision as there is a lot of history to point that, including our experience with him. In a way I am happy with what happened, as it was painful to watch us play. Amorim will play better football, more to come but not overnight I am afraid

I was fairly optimistic with the Glasner + Rangnick deal… I watched Amorim at United what a disaster that was. Remember their loss to Grimsby Town? A League 2 (Serie D) side. The man was perplexed on the sideline playing checkers with his tactics board. He looked completely lost. I remember thinking thank god he’s not our coach. I hope he does well but f*** me what are we doing?
