Commisso: No offers for Chiesa, but ‘I promised him that he can go for the right price’

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has revealed that he has not yet had an offer for Federico Chiesa, but the winger can leave at the right price.

There has been an abundance of speculation over the last 24 hours suggesting Milan have not yet given up on the idea of signing Chiesa, weeks after they were first linked with a move for the 22-year-old.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) went big on Tuesday by reporting that Milan have put forward an offer to Fiorentina for Chiesa, consisting of Lucas Paqueta (valued at €20-25m) plus €20m cash and another €10m bonuses.

However, Daniele Longo stated on Twitter that for the moment there are no negotiations ongoing between Milan and La Viola for Chiesa, and Commisso has seemingly confirmed that.

The Fiorentina president spoke to Rtv38 and spoke discussed the situation surrounding Chiesa, confirming that he has told the Italy international he can leave for the right offer.

“Up to now we have never received any offer for Chiesa. There has never been one, it is not true that we have received any, if any he says I’m mistaken, you bring me the documents,” he said (via MilanNews).

“I love Chiesa and I promised him that he can go for the right price. Let’s see what happens, there is also the possibility that he will stay.”
