GdS: Como submit ‘huge’ €40m+ bid for Theo Hernandez – the response

It has been a simply crazy day with regards to AC Milan transfer news, and the latest update relates to a bid for Theo Hernandez from a surprise club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Como made ‘a huge offer for Theo Hernandez’ in the last few days, worth over €40m. The proposal was put forward but was not followed up due to the French player’s refusal to the destination but says a lot about Como’s ambitions.

The winter transfer window has already brought them Assane Diao, who immediately became a starter and scored against Milan. Maxence Caqueret also joined, as well as the goalkeeper Butez and perhaps the most fascinating signing, Dele Alli.

Thinking about signing Theo, however, marks a change of pace. The left-back is obviously having a difficult few weeks at Milan, with a performance that is not up to the level of previous seasons. Perhaps it is the wake of the European Championship, perhaps the complicated relationship with Paulo Fonseca.

After his terrible evening against Fiorentina earlier in the season – with the missed penalty and red card – it feels like Theo hasn’t been the same. The Supercoppa Italiana final in Riyadh against Inter showed what he can do though, and he remains only 27.

Theo also struggled against Dinamo Zagreb last night, even though he wasn’t the worst on the field. He returned to Italy last night with the team and in these two days he will have to prepare for the derby, a game that is always very important for him, all with a contract expiring in 2026.

    1. ‘ HAVING A FEW DIFFICULT WEEKS ‘ HA HA HA….. WHAT A JOKE !!! PUT HIM ON THE B TEAM IF HE DOESN’T WANT TO GO … SELL SELL SELL …WE NEED TO CLEAN UP TEAM AND GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION.

    2. Imagine pretending to be a Milan fan while writing things like this. I wouldn’t love to see any of the players of Milan play for Como, not even Reijnders, that I couldn’t dislike more.

  1. what a shame… Como can boldly make an offer of 40m for a player but Milan keen on 20/25m…

The owner and management needs deliverance. if this rumor happens to be true.

      1. You can atleast see rumors for a small team and on the contrary when someone see Milan bid for 37m for gimenez everyone is making it as biggest joke of the year. Even 1youtuber he give options as 15m, 20m, 35m and everyone would choose 15m as 1st option that actually Milan would bid.

We came that low actually, we should be ashamed not saying someone couldn’t buy player’s for 40m

    1. Como is fundamentally the Richest club in Italy. the owner had a staggering 60 Billion Dollar net worth. they can buy Haaland, Mbappe, and Lamal at the same time with ease

  2. 🤣🤣🤣
One would think that the best clubs in the world would be interested in the best left back in the world, but no, it’s a relegation Serie A team that is interested in him.
What happened to him being Bayern’s, Real Madrid’s and PSG’s back up option if they couldn’t resign/get Alphonso Davies or Nuno Mendes? Rumor has it, Theo was ManUtd option B if they couldn’t get Dorgu.

          1. gw pengennya gitu Bro..
klo Milan dibeli Hartono fam.. ntr jd dJarum Iblis, pas bgt sama warnanya & dulu Maldini prnh jd bintang iklannya..

  3. This is an insult. Theo should hide his face in shame. Imagine como,no big club will want him anymore. If he likes let him not step up

  4. He’s having a bad season, terrible in terms of defense. He has really regressed in that respect, perhaps worse than we just arrived. But his offensive numbers are still there, even in this terrible season where the whole team looks bad. I still believe he can get back to his world class form, but we need to give him some minutes on the bench. He actually looked decent defensively against Zagreb, after having rested for 45 minutes against parma.

  5. Funny joke. Theo may not have had his best season, but he’s still £100m+ of anyone’s money. No disrespect to Como, I’m a keen bargain-hunter myself!

    1. No one is paying that with only a year left on his contract. And, whilst it’s probably mental and physical fatigue, his performances this year would make any scout worry. I think if we get 40M for him in the summer we have to accept that deal; hopefully there’s a bit more of a bidding war though and belief that he’ll be back to his best after a summer break.

For now he’s a liability for us though.

  6. Como can bid over 40m for one of our players meanwhile we need loans and option to buys. Something is very very wrong here…

  7. It don’t know if there is any truth to this article, but if it’s the case it’s interesting to see that Como of all clubs can bid 40M€ for a player while we topped at 30M€.

      1. Funny that you know less about football than even Gerry. You do know Como aren’t in European competitions, right? They can spend what they want until that isn’t the case.

  8. Not a surprise, Como’s owner is Budi Hartono, indonesia richest men. And the richest owner in serie a. We need some passionate owner like abramovich or city’s syekh not a business men like garry.

  9. Wow Como spend more than Milan on players our owners really are cheap, Milan offering 30mill for Jimenez and don’t want to go past 35 despite our strikers not even scoring as much as an older slower Giroud, ah this is laughable

  10. Hahaha. Good joke about Milan transfer ability. Its normaly that Como is bigger team and it is pleasure to send players there. Milan master transfer gurus.
