Como president strongly hints that rumours of €40m+ Theo Hernandez bid were true

Como president Mirwan Suwarso has strongly hinted that his club made an offer for Theo Hernandez after the reports which stated so.

On January 30, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Como had made ‘a huge offer for Theo Hernandez’ in the last few days, worth over €40m.

The proposal was put forward but was not followed up due to the French player’s refusal to the destination. The Frenchman was not too keen on leaving Champions League football for a side that – then anyway – were still looking over their shoulders.

Nonetheless, amid a winter transfer window that brought Assane Diao, Maxence Caqueret, Butez and Dele Alli to the club by the lake, it certainly showed their ambition.

Suwarso spoke to the microphones of Calcio e Finanza about a number of different topics connected to the ambitions that Como have moving forward and their desire to recruit top talent.

“For example, in the last few days [of the winter mercato] we made an offer for one of the most important players in this league, but the club did not want to sell him,” he said.

“Then we made an offer for a player, also important, and that the club had agreed to sell to us, but the player did not want to come. We are not afraid to make offers for the most important players, but we have to make sure that it fits the budget.”

  1. How sad our management would consider selling one of the few world class players we have.
I know he has been terrible this year but at his best he is probably our best player.
He needs the support and faith of the club and fans to get back to being the devastating player he is.
    40m? are you joking?

  2. Although Theo is far from a player he was in our Scudetto season, the fact they accepted the money offered means he’s out in the summer. There’s no extention for him on the table.

    1. Not just Theo who will be leaving Milan this summer but also Leao, Mike, Thiaw, Gabbia, Tomori, Sportiello, and Florenzi too. All of them are the only players left from Maldini-Pioli era and the new management wants to get rid Maldini-Pioli works.

      1. This mass exodus of Maldini-Pioli era players theory is not far-fetched. I’ve said the same before.

I’m 100% sure Leao and Tomori will follow. After all the “pen to paper” hype, Mike’s renewal is also nowhere near so that’s worrying. He’s probably waiting to see if we qualify for CL or not.

        1. Sure, the same 100% claims you made about them not being able to renew Leao, not spending over €30 million and all the other drivel you post.

        2. Your claims were thrown back in your face liar, I never at any point said they couldn’t spend and I even used chatGPT to summarise as you lack basic comprehension to understand what you’re reading, Emerson.

          1. Speaking of lacking basic comprehension, you’re the one who needs ChatGPT to have basic discussion and to double check on your comments. You’re kind of slow. Slower than Emerson.

  3. Gerry and the new managements wants to get rid every players left from Maldini-Pioli era. They already done with:

    – Tonali
    – Calabria
    – Bennacer
    – Kalulu
    – Alexis
    – Daniel
    – Adli
    – Pobega

This winter they failed to sell Tomori and Theo but i’m sure they will try again this summer along with Mike, Leao, Gabbia, and Thiaw. And clearly they’re not gonna renew Sportiello and Florenzi.

This new management doesn’t respect players nor support and treated them like they’re human & part of Milan family. Players is nothing than an algorithm and money maker for them. sigh…

    1. So now you can’t complain about spending, you resort to this? Most of the players you listed weren’t even regular first teamers. The only thing management need to transfer is garbage, toxic Emerson’s like you.

      1. I never complaint about Gerry the clown spending his money. But i complaint how him and his new management are doing a bad job buying players that doesn’t suit for Milan and how they treated old players.

And just because of the players i listed aren’t starter, doesn’t mean they didn’t contribute at all.

You yankee kids with 1 brain cells who just followed Milan recently needs to fvck off. Go stick with your garbage baseball, hockey, and NFL.
