Como sporting director admits he is working on loan deal for Milan youngster

Como sporting director Carlalberto Ludi has admitted that he is currently working on bringing AC Milan youngster Luka Romero to the club on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

Speaking during an interview with Sportitalia (via Milan News), Ludi was asked about his market plans for January.

This is a crucial transfer window for Como because they find themselves third in Serie B, meaning they have a genuine shot at promotion to Serie A this season.

They are level on points with Venezia in second so they are right in the fight for an automatic promotion place. That being said, just five points separate Venezia in second and Catanzaro in seventh this season in Serie B.

A name that has been linked with Como is Romero, with the Milan youngster getting very limited opportunities in the first team this season.

Ludi admitted that they are working on a deal and will see how it goes: “Romero at Como? We hope so, we are working on it.”

It would not be a surprise if Milan let Romero leave on loan this month given he has played just four times in Serie A this season.

At 19 years old, spending half a season playing at the top of Serie B could be a good experience for the Argentine.
