Among the most interesting talents for the future that are in AC Milan’s orbit is Christian Comotto, currently out on loan at Spezia.
Serie B has once again proven to be the promised land for young talents seeking recognition, like Alphadjo Cisse who Milan signed in the winter. Among the most striking players in the second tier is undoubtedly Comotto, who is beginning to shine consistently for the Aquilotti.
Comotto is demonstrating surprising maturity for his age, attracting the attention of leading Serie A and international scouts and of course catching the eye of his parent club too.
Value exploding
According to the well-known source Transfermarkt (via Calciomercato.com), Comotto’s market value has skyrocketed in the past few months, rising 80% to a significant €4.5m.
As MN24 go on to add, this is an exceptional achievement for a player born in 2008. To date, Comotto is the only player under 18 in the second division to have seen such significant growth in such a short time.
The Rossoneri management are closely monitoring their midfielder’s progress, aware they have an asset with enormous technical and financial potential on their hands. His performances for Spezia suggest he’s now well into his development.
If this trend continues, the teenager’s return to the club could be very different, given that the previous plan would probably have been to loan him out again (Parma have been linked). If he keeps playing at such a high level, he could be part of the first-team rotation from next season.

With champions league next season he should definitely be able to get minutes in Milan. We gonna need like 7 midfielders for rotation expecting some injuries.
Rabiot-Modric-Fofana-Jashari-Ricci-RLC-Comotto
But if Allegri have requested a ready to start player at Rabiots level in the summer, I see Comotto spending next season with Parma or some other mid tier Serie A team. Might not be all bad. More minutes
I think Fofana will be sold this summer. It would make a lot of sense too.
Milan needs Comotto in order to maximize its squad, due to the rule regarding young players!
And RLC. Both will probably leave
We (should) have no use for RLC in the midfield.
I watch him at Milan friendly match last year. He shouldnt be at spezia, good addition for first team back up. Watch closely comotto and RB Vittorio magni…

The kid is talented! Great technique and vision, smart solutions. If Modric stays next season, we definitely need to bring him back so he could learn from the maestro
I’ve said it a million times: With Futuro down in Serie D, Serie B is the place for our most talented youngster who are not quite at first team level. Camarda should have been in Serie B this season. Instead, they shipped him off to a club that was destined to be fighting relegation and no Serie A club fighting relegation was going to entrust their attack to a 17 year old who has no track record beyond a few games in Serie C. Really stvpid move by all involved (I’m beginning to suspect his agent also had a lot to do with this).
Meanwhile, Comotto could probably use another season in Serie B. He’s still 17, and according to Transfermarkt has only been in the starting eleven 11% of the time. So he’s still some way from being “established”. If he gets “promoted” to the first team for next season I’d be willing to bet that he’ll get lost at the bottom of the depth chart, with Allegri not going near him as it’s clear he prefers his “senatori”.
Comotto does seem to have potential. Whether or not the potential will be fulfilled, remains to be seen as talent is necessary but not the only factor in determining a young player’s success. Any talk of Comotto integrating Milan’s first team is utterly premature at this point. The kid is only 17. Playing among grown-ups in one of the main Serie A clubs is vastly different from playing for Primavera, Futuro, or a Serie B team. As usual, people are too optimistic regarding promising youth players. Like other young players, Comotto still has a long way to go before he consistently qualifies for playing for the first team of a Serie A heavy-weight like AC Milan.
Talent? Apparently, check.
Other factors:
Psychological maturity
Stability to withstand the pressure
Muscle development
Staying off injuries
Resilience
Drive
Family support
Club support
Good agent
And so on, and so forth.
So before we go crazy about Comotto, let’s wait and see if he has everything that is needed for first team success in one of the top clubs of one of the top European leagues. It’s actually a tiny minority of youth players, even the promising ones, who have all that it takes, and end up making it.
As long as Allegri is the coach of AC Milan then this kind of talent have to be loaned out to teams that don’t struggle and NOT like Lecce. Bartesaghi was lucky that Estupiñán was a bad signing and Allegri was forced to play Bartesaghi.
If Milan wants to keep Allegri then they can’t use their Money Ball gamble and with Allegri Boring defensive tactics then you need to bring experience players or quality Talents so one of the best squad you can give Allegri next season is to start with selling Tomori, Athekame, Estupiñán, RLC and Fofana and use that money plus CL Money and plus the money from players out on load to build this squad for Allegri to compete in Serie A, CL, Coppa Italia and Super Cup so he can rotate and have experience, quality and depth.

Give this squad to Allegri and he would compete for every title and it would actually be fun to watch even with the Defensive Allegri Tactics
