Christian Comotto has discussed his season on loan in Serie B, the friendship with Sandro Tonali, and his chances in the upcoming campaign.
Comotto spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Spezia, following what can only be described as an impressive pre-season. Massimiliano Allegri and Milan even considered keeping him in the first team, but ultimately the loan decision was made.

It was a good decision too. The 18-year-old made an impressive 30 appearances across all competitions and ten of them were from start. On top of that, a lot of those starts came in the second half of the season, displaying real growth.
Speaking to Cronache di Spogliatoio, as cited by Davide Capano, Comotto shared his thoughts on the experience at Spezia, his chances for the upcoming season, and the important friendship with Tonali. The latter is certainly a good example to follow.
On next season…
“I feel more ready to face the intensity that exists at high levels, I want to be the best version of myself. I’m completing myself little by little, but I still have a long way to go”.
“I feel ready to face all the challenges that will arise in the next season and seize the opportunities to the fullest.”
On Tonali…
“Sandro even came to my 18th birthday, he’s almost like a brother to me, he often watches my matches and gives me advice. He’s a point of reference and a truly great person.”
On the loan experience…
“The season in Serie B changed me as a person, I arrived in a locker room with people even 20 years older than me, and I wasn’t used to it because I played in Primavera. So experiencing the world of the pros has been incredible.
“I felt very much like a child when I started with Spezia, so Tonali helped me manage those moments, having gone through it a few years ago,” he stated.

The Italian future of AC Milan! One who should never, never be sold but given only chances and opportunities to shine and prove his worth and immense talent. If AC Milan let’s go of Comotto, Milan would be the most useless and idiotic club to ever exist.
*lets
We have some big talents. Comotto, Camarda, Cisse, Kostić… With new futuro head coach they can develop and become great.
I hope he stays and learns from Modrić this season. He could become his successor.
I hope Milan will not repeat the same mistake like Tonali sale in case of Comotto in the future
There’s hoping, but you never know with this club anymore. They messed things up with Tonali big time. They did the same with Reijnders. Then they end up getting Fofana and Estupiñan and Bondo who are all good for nothing. And to be honest, I really think that even Saelemaekers is unconvincing. Bartesaghi is young and needs a lot of improving…but no, they must never let go of Comotto, never, as well as Ricci!
