Christian Comotto is spending this season with Spezia in Serie B. However, the AC Milan loanee has impressed at a fitting level.
This week, Milan qualified for the Round of 16, as expected, against Lecce. It is another win for the Rossoneri, with another clean sheet also bagged. Something which can only make Massimiliano Allegri smile.

However, there will have been something else to make the club and the coach smile
Comotto’s quality shown
This week, Spezia also played their Round of 32 game in the Coppa Italia against Serie A side Parma, and whilst they were beaten, the Diavolo will smile. Not because they are out, but interested because they have seen further proof of quality.
Of course, as Milanisti Channel writes, this regards Comotto. The Italian was given his first start of the season by head coach Luca D’Angelo, and he played the full ninety minutes of the game, and didn’t disappoint.
Instead, he got the assist for the equaliser, actually for a former Rossonero in Gianluca Lapadula. It is a sign of his ability to play against this level of opposition already and proof, perhaps, that he should be starting more for Spezia.
Allegri had taken a liking to him this summer, and if he is allowed more chances after this performance, the midfielder could well be in the first team picture when he returns.

They aren’t wonderful players, they are interesting promises. Last year the management ran an experiment running mostly young promises in lower lower league Serie C for these promises to get experience. Poor management, very poor coaching, plus these wonderful players you mention not being ready for prime time, coupled to a few notable regular exclusions from the team including Camarda and Zeroli, resulted in that experiment failing catastrophically –> Serie D. And you want them in a team that fights for the Serie A scudetto that’s chosen to have only 19 players due to a short schedule, where the subs in the CM and striker position are worth >30M?
You ever saw a game of 8 year olds 5v5 and then an adult plays for one of the teams. All of a sudden that team looks really good right? Bit of an exaggeration but the comparison holds up. Maldini was able to do well at 18 because he was surrounded by great players on the team to help him grow. You can grow when the conditions around you are right
And even the most avid Milanista would say that conditions are far from favorable to make this happen today. Even after winning a few games in a row convincingly.
Spezia was the best destination for him to continue his development. Hope he can live up to the expectations.
This kid is a real talent , has something special. I believe he will ve a great player.
Camarda is struggling now but this is good for him. Important is he play. From this struggling he can develop.
