AC Milan are looking to sign a replacement for Malick Thiaw and it seems that Pietro Comuzzo is the top name on the list.
Newcastle had been linked with a move for Thiaw for some time, and in the past few days things accelerated. An improved offer was tabled on Saturday and the Premier League side were able to get the green light in an operation worth €40m, including bonuses.

With only Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic and Fikayo Tomori in the squad at present and the distinct possibility of playing a three-man back line, a new centre-back signing will be needed for the Rossoneri.

Matteo Moretto gave an update on Milan’s centre-back pursuit in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.
“After Thiaw’s departure, Milan will have to find a new central defender. Allegri would like him to be Italian. To date, the first name, the one Milan had already contacted before closing the deal for Thiaw with Newcastle, is Pietro Comuzzo from Fiorentina,” he said.
“We’ll see if there can be an acceleration as early as this week. After the deal for Thiaw was closed, several central defenders were proposed to Milan. Milan want to decide calmly, but I expect that over the course of next week they will get to the point. I reiterate that the first name on Milan’s list is Comuzzo.”

His price will be 30m + bonuses,and he make injuri yesterday against Manchester United,and was left game. So young and make injuri usualy that not good. Young player need play all year without problem,sometging not good here

Shame because I wanted more Italian players (if they have the quality) but I get the economics drive the decisions. Udogie would have been great to replace Theo but if he’s twice the price of Estupinan it makes sense why management decided to sign the Ecuadorian

This might sound a tad crazy but I would prefer they took that money and spent it on a world class striker thats closer to the 80mil mark.
Leoni has 18 games. How can people be so sure he’s proven?
Either are a risk its the nature of buying youngsters. But Comuzzo makes too many positional mistakes, I’d expect better from him. Either one will likely need a season or two to adapt
Leoni and Camuso have great managers who make them now deffenders no.1 and truth is nobody will pay 40m for each of them,exept stupid managment
Id rather prefer comuzzo / bartesaghi use it for CB / Andrea coubis from Milan primavera. No need more big investment. Milan are only play in Seri A + coppa Italia.
Agree and at the end couach need make player great and grow up.We not produce any player kid who play now at 1st team. Mihajlovic put Donaruma to play,Pioli gave chance for simic,camarda and few more,but others coaches nothing.
My point is if we have great kids( and last 2 years our managment tell us that all time) then please Alegri make some of them for 1st team.
