Chukwueze Milanello

MN: ‘Great strides towards recovery’ – Conceicao to have Chukwueze available shortly

In Paulo Fonseca’s last game in charge of AC Milan, Samuel Chukwueze left the field injured. Now, the winger is close to recovering, and Sergio Conceicao will need him.

One of Milan’s big issues this season, and in fairness, in recent times, has been the lack of depth in the squad. Last season, the Rossoneri suffered heavily in defence and midfield, but issues up front occurred. This season, it is much of the same, although slightly flipped.

In attack, the Diavolo have often had to make do, and this has seen Francesco Camarda’s gametime increase more than many would have expected it to. The biggest issue, perhaps, has been the lack of wide options though.

At the start of the season, Fonseca was criticised for his over-usage of Christian Pulisic, and this was due to not having a ‘viable’ alternative. Now, Conceicao is having to deal with an injury to the American, without any backup.

This means that Alex Jimenez will start this weekend against Juventus, but the Portuguese will be relieved to hear that Chukwueze is close to recovering. With Milan News reporting that he is making ‘great strides towards recovery’.

According to the report, he will begin training over the course of the next week, which is the first step to returning.

  1. Great, maybe we can sell him.
Jimenez is already better than him.

Another example of our “scout” who either never watched him or doesn’t know what he is looking at

Anyone with eyes and half a brain can see he is unable to use his right foot.

      1. You always come here to defend Chukwueze, he only dribbles and then tries to curl a shot to the far post. He has been here a year and a half and is unconvincing. He does not often get a run of games but when he does he gets hurt. Not good enough for Milan.

        1. I think your response is racist, uncouth and stupid. If the player is black then you see all his mistakes but if he is white he doesn’t make mistakes. An example: People keep denigrating Emerson and say all stupid things about him but keep praising Calabria who knows nothing. That’s why Emerson is preferred match after match. Stop the intolerance and racist comments.

    1. The scout must have thought he was French or watched a YouTube highlights video. We actually need money ball, there’s no way garbage like this would have been signed, the algorithm would have rejected him.

  2. Jimenez is immature and overzealous. He lacks the experience of Chuckuweze who was an excellent player at Valencia. If he is given regular playing time you will see his worth. Stop denigrating certain players because you don’t like them. I read a lot of negative comments too about Emerson but he keeps playing every week. Are we sensible than the coach?

  3. Chuk has never played under Conceicao. Let’s give the coach a chance to rehabilitate him, maybe we’ll have another Tomori situation.

  4. He doesn’t use his right like many good players who use one foot. I don’t know why fans are making it hard for foreigners to play in Milan in peace.
They will criticize the foreigners mistake but don’t criticize any Italian mistake. It’s not our fault there are few good Italian players Milan, an Italian club can afford

    1. This generation of Italians, as nationalistic as anyone wants to be, sucks. Of all, probably only Barella, Tonali…… maybe, maybe on current form, Retegui will be a hands-down first-teamer in Milan. The rest.. all suck. Wait another generation!

  5. Chuck hasn’t improved at all since his first year here… The injuries persist though. I don’t know what Conceicao can get out of him.
