Francisco Conceicao has made the claim that AC Milan did not try to win against Juventus on Sunday, despite leading in added time.
It must be said that Juve created the better of the chances in the first half, albeit without really generating a golden scoring opportunity. Then, in the 68th minute, Milan took the lead through Alphadjo Cisse’s shot inside the far post to stun the home crowd.

Federico Gatti came off the bench to head in a late cross and earn the Bianconeri a draw, with the two sides shaking hands after a seventh tie in the last 11 games. Ruben Amorim even admitted after the game that Juve didn’t deserve to lose, and that his side have a lot to keep working on.
After the game Conceicao offered his thoughts on the contest and he revealed his belief that Milan did ‘nothing’ apart from score. His words are via our colleagues at TalkJuve.
“During the 90 minutes, I feel the truth is that we deserved to win the game. Milan scored the goal, but did absolutely nothing else. I hit the post, Fede scored, so it was in a way good that we didn’t lose, but we deserved all three points,” he said.

Looser! You dont deserve anything in life, you either take all 3 points or you dont, and you did not.
Conceicaos always hate Milan
They played better, but both teams deserved a point at best…
Unfortunately he is correct that Milan did very little and did not deserve to win, which even our head coach has acknowledged. Where he is wrong, is that Juve also didn’t do that much (maybe slightly more) and also did not deserve to win. Ultimately the draw was a fair result for both teams. Neither team played well.
If one compares this derby with the Inter-Napoli derby played the day before (which I also watched), the difference is striking. That game was electrifying and both teams relentlessly tried to score, and both produced many beautiful plays. Ultimately our biggest rivals prevailed 3-2 which I obviouly did not like, but I must acknowledge that their game was one of the best games that Serie A has ever produced (it looked more like a top EPL game). Milan-Juve? That was a pain to watch.
GdS the next day published an article saying that ultimately Chivu was right when he said that Milan and Juve weren’t Scudetto contenders. GdS said, this Juve-Milan game wasn’t a game worthy of Scudetto contenders. It wasn’t. Unfortunately, Inter-Napoli was. It pains me to acknowledge it, but I’m not blind. Whoever watched both games must have noticed the huge difference in quality.
Someone reading this might say, but Napoli isn’t doing so well either; sure, Inter are contenders, but are Napoli contenders, under Allegri? It’s too early to say, but watching Inter-Napoli, it is clear that Napoli played well and for a long time looked like the team that would win that game. They did crumble at the end, but that was more due to Inter’s merits than to Napoli’s shortcomings. That offense with Lautaro and Thuram is hard to resist to, for 90 minutes. But regardless of other seasonal results so far, Napoli played against Inter (a team that is way better than Juve) much better than what Milan did against Juve (or that Juve did against Milan).
Napoli might look like a contender but knowing their boss they’ll be fighting for the last UCL spot even with their far superior squad (compared to anyone but Inter).
As a Milan fan, he was right; Juve were better than us in all aspects. At least we got a point out of this game. I would change the positions of Rabiot and Musah, and I would try Musah as a 10!
Musah as a 10? He has always passed poorly and if he tries to finish he is a disaster. We need Pulisic as a 10. Hopefully Puli’s bad phase will be over and he will resume his contributions, will create opportunities for the companions and will take some of the shots; he is capable of scoring. Musah’s one quality is carrying the ball forward but then he has trouble with doing something useful once he gets there with the ball. Musah would be very ineffective as a 10.
LOL!!! Conceicao hit the post only because the shot was deflected by Milan-player’s foot. It would have gone wide otherwise. And also… It didn’t go in. Shooting once at a long distance isn’t really “Oh we created so much and dominated the whole match”, now is it? 🤦♂️
And what did Juventus do exactly? I didn’t see them score more than a one lucky, desperate goal that RLC let them.
